PERSONAL INFORMATION GOVERNANCE POLICY OF 9480-6353 Québec Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the « Policy »)

9480-6353 Québec Inc. (hereafter “LeadScout”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, retains, and discloses your personal information to provide you with our products or services (including those offered by our third-party partners) and to comply with legal obligations. The information we collect allows us to identify you, assess eligibility for requested products/services, serve you appropriately, offer you client/user benefits, and manage risks associated with our activities.

“Personal Information” means any information about an identifiable individual, directly or indirectly (the “Personal Information”).

LeadScout collects limited personal information to help connect you with financial service providers and determine your eligibility for products such as personal loans or credit solutions. We do not sell your data. Your information is protected under Québec’s Law 25 and Canada’s PIPEDA. You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting info@leadscout.ca

CONSENT

This Policy explains our practices for collecting, using, retaining, disclosing, and destroying Personal Information. By providing Personal Information, you consent to LeadScout processing it per this Policy.

By consenting, you authorize LeadScout to collect, use, and share Personal Information to offer products/services provided by LeadScout and/or third-party partners (including, without limitation, monetary loans and/or credit facilities). You also authorize our partners to collect, use, and share your Personal Information to offer their products/services, subject to their own privacy policies. LeadScout cannot be responsible for Personal Information handled by third parties under their policies.

LeadScout will use and share only the Personal Information necessary for identified purposes unless otherwise permitted by law. For sensitive Personal Information (e.g., Social Insurance Number, criminal record, proof of citizenship), we obtain your express consent and apply enhanced safeguards and access restrictions.

THE PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED

To provide you with the products or services offered by LeadScout and/or by its third-party partners, LeadScout and its third-party partners may collect :

Identification: name, email/postal address, phone number, date of birth, gender, marital status.
Authentication: passwords/PINs, security-question answers.
Communications: records and summaries of interactions, emails/chats, survey responses.
Platform Use: cookies; preferences (language, province); IP address; device/OS/browser data.
Products/Services: balances; transactions (numbers, dates, amounts, descriptions); products held (type, dates, terms, payment methods); authorized account holder.
Financial: financial statements; employment/income; criminal record; credit file/score.
Other: Social Insurance Number; proof of citizenship/residence; country of birth; results of checks for anti-money laundering, cybercrime, and fraud prevention.

Automated decision-making/profiling: When we use automated tools (e.g., credit/fraud-risk scoring) to make decisions or to profile, we will inform you and, upon request, provide information about the logic involved and possible consequences.

HOW YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION IS COLLECTED

We collect Personal Information directly from you (e.g., when you request or inquire about a product/service) and from third parties such as co-applicants/guarantors, credit agencies, financial institutions, service providers, public bodies, personal references, public sources (registers, official documents, websites), and other relevant sources.

Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs): When we develop or implement a new information system, website, or digital service that processes Personal Information, we conduct a PIA (or equivalent assessment) to identify and mitigate privacy risks.

AUTOMATED INFORMATION COLLECTION AND INTEREST-BASED ADVERTISING

We use cookies, clear GIFs, third-party analytics, and other tracking technologies to understand platform usage (e.g., IP address, browser/OS, pages viewed, links clicked, time on page, referral URL). We may combine this data with other Personal Information for statistics, advertising measurement, and fraud detection; to personalize experiences and content; and to monitor usage trends.

We use third-party analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics). These providers may use their own cookies/technologies and combine information from our platforms with data from other sites.

Where required by law, we will obtain your consent before using cookies or technologies that enable profiling. You may manage or withdraw your preferences via our cookie settings or by contacting us.

USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We use Personal Information to:

  • identify you, update your information, and perform internal verification;
  • open, maintain, and close your file;
  • assess eligibility for requested products/services;
  • manage risks and prevent/detect fraud;
  • improve our products, services, platforms, and security measures;
  • offer services/products that meet your expectations;
  • develop and test features/services;
  • send information about our activities and offers (you can withdraw consent at any time);
  • comply with tax and legal requirements;
  • respond to court or authority requests;
  • work with suppliers and partners to deliver services.

We will not use or disclose Personal Information for purposes other than those identified at collection unless you consent or law permits/requires it.

COMMUNICATION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may disclose Personal Information:

  • within LeadScout companies/entities to serve you;
  • to courts, law-enforcement, regulators, and other authorities;
  • in connection with a business transaction or reorganization (e.g., merger, asset sale), subject to legal requirements;
  • to financial institutions, credit bureaus, public/private fraud and compensation databases, and lending institutions;
  • to suppliers/partners (e.g., insurance, IT, financial, hosting/cloud, data processing, and legal services) who are bound by appropriate obligations.

Confidentiality incidents (breaches): If a confidentiality incident occurs that presents a risk of serious injury, we will promptly notify the Québec Commission d’accès à l’information and affected individuals, as required by law.otify the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec and the individuals concerned, in accordance with applicable law.

PROTECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We maintain physical, organizational, contractual, and technological safeguards to protect Personal Information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification. Access is limited to personnel/partners with a legitimate need and confidentiality obligations.

TRANSFERS OUTSIDE OF CANADA

Some service providers are outside Canada (including the United States). When Personal Information is transferred, used, or stored outside Canada, we apply contractual, organizational, and technological safeguards designed to provide a level of protection comparable to that required in Canada. However, your information may be subject to the laws of the foreign jurisdiction.

DURATION OF CONSERVATION

We retain Personal Information only as long as necessary for identified purposes and as required by law. When purposes are fulfilled and legal retention periods expire, we securely destroy or anonymize the data. We may retain limited information for accounting, fraud prevention, fee collection, enforcement of terms, website integrity, or as otherwise permitted by law. We review our retention schedules periodically to ensure timely destruction or anonymization.

LeadScout is not responsible for Personal Information collected and controlled by third parties under their privacy policies.

RIGHT OF ACCESS AND RECTIFICATION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Keep us informed of any changes to your Personal Information. You have the right to:

  • request access to and a copy of your Personal Information in a commonly used, machine-readable format;
  • request correction of inaccurate, incomplete, or ambiguous information, or deletion where collection/use/disclosure/retention is unauthorized;
  • request cessation of dissemination or de-indexing of Personal Information where legal conditions are met (e.g., serious harm to reputation or privacy outweighs competing interests and the request does not exceed what is necessary to prevent harm).

How to exercise your rights: submit a written request to our Privacy Officer including sufficient information to verify your identity. We generally respond within 30 days (or as otherwise permitted by law). If you are unsatisfied, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as applicable.

WITHDRAWAL OF YOUR CONSENT

You may withdraw your consent to our collection, use, or disclosure of your Personal Information at any time by contacting info@leadscout.ca. If withdrawal affects our ability to provide products/services, we will explain the consequences.

You may unsubscribe from promotional communications at any time via the “unsubscribe” link or by contacting us; we process such requests within a reasonable time.

THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Our websites may contain links to external sites. LeadScout is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party websites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Our services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. LeadScout does not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

SECURITY DISCLAIMER

We apply industry-standard measures to protect your personal information. However, no system or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You acknowledge that you provide information at your own discretion.

MODIFICATION OF OUR POLICY
